The second official trailer for 20th Century Fox’s Bad Times at the El Royale advises: “Seven strangers…seven secrets…all roads lead here.” The new trailer also finds Chris Hemsworth questioning his fellow travelers. “It’s a game. It all starts with a simple choice. Which side are you on? Right? Wrong? God or no God? Red or black?” he asks.
The ensemble cast also features Jeff Bridges (Hell or High Water, Only the Brave), Cynthia Erivo (Mr Selfridge), Dakota Johnson (the Fifty Shades film franchise), Jon Hamm (Baby Driver, Mad Men), Cailee Spaeny (Pacific Rim: Uprising), Lewis Pullman (The Strangers: Prey at Night), and Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation, Fargo).
In addition to writing and directing, Drew Goddard (director 2012’s The Cabin in the Woods, writer of The Martian) executive produced the film along with Jeremy Latcham (Guardians of the Galaxy). Goddard’s behind the scenes team includes director of photography Seamus McGarvey, editor Lisa Lassek, casting director Carmen Cuba, costume designer Danny Glicker, and art director Michael Diner, with music by Michael Giacchino.
Bad Times at the El Royale will open in theaters on October 12, 2018.
The Plot: Seven strangers, each with a secret to bury, meet at Lake Tahoe’s El Royale, a rundown hotel with a dark past. Over the course of one fateful night, everyone will have a last shot at redemption… before everything goes to hell.
