The first trailer for 20th Century Studios’ Barbarian finds a young woman shocked to discover the house she rented is already occupied. Bill Skarsgård invites her in and it’s quickly apparent stepping through the door is a decision she might not live to regret.
Joining Bill Skarsgard for the 2022 horror thriller are Georgina Campbell, Justin Long, Matthew Patrick Davis, Richard Brake, Kurt Braunohler, and Jaymes Butler. Actor Zach Cregger writes and directs, with Arnon Milchan, Roy Lee, Raphael Margules, and J.D. Lifshitz producing. Michael Schaefer, Natalie Lehmann, Danny Chan, Alex Lebovici, and Bill Skarsgård executive produce.
20th Century Studios and New Regency are launching Barbarian in theaters on Wednesday, August 31, 2022.
The Plot: “In Barbarian, a young woman traveling to Detroit for a job interview books a rental home. But when she arrives late at night, she discovers that the house is double-booked, and a strange man is already staying there. Against her better judgment, she decides to spend the evening but soon discovers that there’s a lot more to fear than just an unexpected house guest.”
