‘The Watchers’ Teaser Trailer: Creepy Creatures Terrorize Strangers

The first teaser trailer for New Line Cinema’s The Watchers finds Dakota Fanning (The Alienist) experiencing what it’s like to be terrified and trapped in a glass cage. The teaser declares, “You can’t see them, but they see everything,” backed by creepy growls emitting from the woods.

“The film follows Mina, a 28-year-old artist, who gets stranded in an expansive, untouched forest in western Ireland. When Mina finds shelter, she unknowingly becomes trapped alongside three strangers who are watched and stalked by mysterious creatures each night,” reads New Line Cinema’s synopsis.

In addition to Fanning, The Watchers stars Georgina Campbell (Barbarian), Oliver Finnegan (Creeped Out), and Olwen Fouere (The Northman). M. Night Shyamalan’s daughter, Ishana Night Shyamalan, makes her feature film directorial debut with the thriller. She also adapted A.M. Shine’s novel for the screen.

M. Night Shyamalan, Ashwin Rajan, and Nimitt Mankad serve as producers, with Jo Homewood and Stephen Dembitzer executive producing. Shyamalan’s behind-the-scenes team includes director of photography Eli Arenson (Lamb), production designer Ferdia Murphy (Finding You), editor Job ter Burg (Benedetta), and costume designer Frank Gallacher (Aftersun).

New Line Cinema’s set a June 5, 2024 international release date followed by a June 7th release in North America.
