Screen Gems just released a new trailer for the action-thriller, Black and Blue. Naomie Harris stars as a cop who discovers corruption within the department but is left without many choices after alienating her neighborhood.
In addition to Naomie Harris (Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom), the cast includes Tyrese Gibson (the Fast and Furious films), Frank Grillo (The Purge: Election Year), Mike Colter (Luke Cage), Reid Scott (Veep), Beau Knapp (Measure of a Man), and Nafessa Williams (Black Lightning).
Deon Taylor (The Intruder, Traffik) directed from a screenplay by Peter A. Dowling (Reasonable Doubt). Sean Sorensen produced, with Joshua Throne and Roxanne Taylor executive producing. Taylor’s behind the scenes team includes director of photography Dante Spinotti, production designer Frank Zito, and costume designer Lauren Bott.
The Plot:
“Black and Blue is a fast-paced action thriller about a rookie cop (Harris) who inadvertently captures the murder of a young drug dealer on her body cam. After realizing that the murder was committed by corrupt cops, she teams up with the one person from her community who is willing to help her (Gibson) as she tries to escape both the criminals out for revenge and the police who are desperate to destroy the incriminating footage.”
