‘Blade Runner 2049’ Behind the Scenes Video: “Time to Live”

Ryan Gosling describes Blade Runner 2049 as a grounded, realistic extension of the original Blade Runner in the latest behind the scenes video from the sci-fi sequel. The four-minute video includes interviews with Gosling, Harrison Ford, and Jared Leto, as well as director Denis Villeneuve and executive producer Ridley Scott. The cast also includes Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks, Robin Wright, Mackenzie Davis, Carla Juri, Lennie James, and Dave Bautista.

Hampton Fancher and Michael Green wrote the screenplay based on Philip K. Dick’s characters from Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?. Andrew A. Kosove, Broderick Johnson, Bud Yorkin, and Cynthia Yorkin produced, with Tim Gamble, Frank Giustra, Yale Badick, Val Hill, and Bill Carraro executive producing. Warner Bros Pictures is releasing Blade Runner 2049 in theaters in 2D, 3D, and IMAX on October 6, 2017.

The Plot: Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.
