‘Breaking Bad’ Film Premiering on Netflix in October

Breaking Bad fans finally have an answer to the “what’s happening with a Breaking Bad movie” question. Netflix has confirmed El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie will premiere exclusively on the streaming service on October 11, 2019.

The announcement came with a one-minute teaser video, a poster, and an official photo.

The much-anticipated film finds Aaron Paul reprising his role as Jesse Pinkman. However, in announcing the premiere date Netflix did not confirm any additional cast members – either new or returning.

Series creator Vince Gilligan wrote and directed the Breaking Bad film. Aaron Paul, Mark Johnson, Melissa Bernstein, Charles Newirth, and Diane Mercer produced in association with Sony Pictures Television.

The critically acclaimed, award-winning series ran for five seasons, kicking off on January 20, 2008 and finishing up on September 29, 2013.

The Plot:

“The Netflix Television Event El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie reunites fans with Jesse Pinkman (Emmy-winner Aaron Paul). In the wake of his dramatic escape from captivity, Jesse must come to terms with his past in order to forge some kind of future.”
