The thriller Caddo Lake, formerly known as The Vanishings at Caddo Lake, has found a home at Max. The streamer announced the drama from filmmakers Celine Held, Logan George, and M. Night Shyamalan will premiere on Thursday, October 10, 2024.

“When an eight-year-old girl mysteriously vanishes, a series of past deaths and disappearances start to link together, forever altering a broken family’s history,” reads Max’s synopsis. And the trailer features Dylan O’Brien walking around a menacing-looking titular lake.

The cast also includes Eliza Scanlen, Diana Hopper, Caroline Falk, Sam Hennings, Eric Lange, and Lauren Ambrose.

Directors Held and George were inspired to write the film after seeing a photo of the real lake and then visiting the cypress forest on Texas and Louisiana’s border. Shot in Karnak, Texas, production on the film took place in late 2021 and 2022.

M. Night Shyamalan, Ashwin Rajan, Kara Durrett, and Josh Godfrey serve as producers. Executive producers include Kimberly Steward, Harrison Huffman, and Will Greenfield.
