Superman and The Boys top the list of nominees for the 2026 Critics Choice Super Awards. The annual Critics Choice Super Awards recognize the best in horror, action, superhero, and sci-fi/fantasy films and television. Winners will be announced on Thursday, August 6, 2026.
Superman scored six nominations in the movie categories, including Best Superhero Movie, Best Villain (Nicholas Hoult), three Best Actor in a Superhero Movie nominations (David Corenswet, Edi Gathegi, Hoult), and Best Actress (Rachel Brosnahan). Masters of the Universe, Obsession, Project Hail Mary, The Fantastic Four: First Steps, and Weapons were the closest to Superman, picking up four nominations apiece.
On the television side, The Boys earned five nominations in categories including the Best Superhero Series, Limited Series or Made-for-TV Movie, Best Actor (Antony Starr), Best Villain (Starr), and Best Actress (Valorie Curry, Colby Minifie). Fallout, House of the Dragon, and Paradise followed with four nominations each.
Films and series were eligible if they were released between July 1, 2025 and August 31, 2026.
