MTV’s just premiered this first clip from Dawn of the Planet of the Apes featuring a group of humans who find themselves surrounded by apes (led by Caesar) in the forest. Directed by Matt Reeves, the sequel stars Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Toby Kebbell, and Keri Russell.
20th Century Fox will open Dawn of the Planet of the Apes in theaters on July 11, 2014.
The Plot:
A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.
