Yes, that’s Caesar scowling at you on the new poster for 20th Century Fox’s Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. Hitting theaters on July 11, 2014 (a week earlier than it was originally scheduled to arrive), this second film of the new Apes series stars Andy Serkis, Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, Keri Russell, Toby Kebbell, Kodi Smith-Mcphee, Enrique Muriciano, and Kirk Acevedo.
Matt Reeves directs, with Peter Chernin, Dylan Clark, Rick Jaffa, and Amanda Silver producing.
The Plot:
A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.
