Take a look behind the scenes at what it takes to bring an ape to life on screen in this Dawn of the Planet of the Apes video. The split-screen video features Andy Serkis, Toby Kebbell, and other actors in their performance capture suits on one side while the other side of the screen shows the finished clips of the apes.
20th Century Fox will release Dawn of the Planet of the Apes in theaters on July 11, 2014.
The Plot:
A growing nation of genetically evolved apes led by Caesar is threatened by a band of human survivors of the devastating virus unleashed a decade earlier. They reach a fragile peace, but it proves short-lived, as both sides are brought to the brink of a war that will determine who will emerge as Earth’s dominant species.
