From writer/producer/director Francesca Gregorini (Tanner Hall) comes one of the more interesting names for a film in recent years: Emanuel and the Truth About Fishes. Premiering at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, Emanuel and the Truth About Fishes stars Jessica Biel, Kaya Scodelario, Alfred Molina, Frances O’Connor, Aneurin Barnard, and Jimmi Simpson.
The Plot:
A troubled girl Emanuel (Kaya Scodelario) becomes preoccupied with her mysterious new neighbor (Jessica Biel), who bears a striking resemblance to her dead mother. In offering to babysit Linda’s newborn, Emanuel unwittingly enters a fragile, fictional world, of which she becomes the gatekeeper.
