Focus Features has just released the first teaser trailer for Emma, based on the classic Jane Austen comedy. In addition to unveiling a teaser trailer, the studio also put out the first two photos along with the teaser poster for the 2020 theatrical release.
Anya Taylor-Joy (The Witch) leads the cast in the title role. Johnny Flynn (Vanity Fair), Bill Nighy (About Time), Mia Goth (A Cure for Wellness), Miranda Hart (Call the Midwife), Josh O’Connor (The Crown), Callum Turner (The Only Living Boy in New York), Rupert Graves (Sherlock), Gemma Whelan (Game of Thrones), Amber Anderson (In Darkness), Tanya Reynolds (Delicious), and Connor Swindells (Keepers) also star.
Eleanor Catton adapted the screenplay and Autumn de Wilde makes her feature film directorial debut with the period piece. Emma was produced by Tim Bevan, Eric Fellner, Graham Broadbent, and Pete Czernin.
Emma is set to open in limited theaters on Friday, February 21, 2020.
