The comedy Father of Invention has found a home at Anchor Bay Films. Father of Invention, which debuted at the Berlin International Film Festival, was co-written and directed by Trent Cooper and stars Kevin Spacey, Craig Robinson, Camilla Belle, Heather Graham, Virginia Madsen, and Ana Anissimova.

Commenting on the acquisition, President of Anchor Bay Entertainment Bill Clark stated, “Father of Invention offers two hours of great laughs with a talented cast. We have no doubt that audiences worldwide will enjoy it as much as our worldwide team will enjoy working on it.”

“Kevin Spacey is one of the most versatile actors in our business and this film is proof of that,” stated Kevin Kasha, Executive Vice President of Worldwide Acquisitions and Co-productions. “It’s an excellent cast and Craig Robinson’s recent hits are proof that he has amazing comedic timing.”

The Plot:
Kevin Spacey is Robert Axle, an eccentric inventor turned egomaniacal infomercial guru, who loses it all when one of his inventions maims thousands of customers. After eight years in a maximum security prison, Axle is ready to redeem his name and rebuild his billion-dollar empire. But first, he must convince his estranged 22-year-old daughter (Belle) to let him live with her and her quirky, over-protective roommates.
