First Look: ‘Ford v Ferrari’ Trailer, Poster and Photos with Christian Bale and Matt Damon

20th Century Fox just released the first full trailer for the dramatic film Ford v Ferrari. The movie’s based on a true story and stars Oscar winner Christian Bale (The Fighter) as race car driver Kevin Miles and Oscar winner Matt Damon (the screenplay for Good Will Hunting) as car designer Carroll Shelby.

Fox also unveiled the first poster as well as a couple of photos from the 2019 release.

Joining Christian Bale and Matt Damon in the cast are Jon Bernthal (The Punisher, The Walking Dead), Caitriona Balfe (Outlander), Tracy Letts (The Sinner), Josh Lucas (The Mysteries of Laura), Noah Jupe (A Quiet Place), Remo Girone (Live by Night) and Ray McKinnon (Mayans M.C.).

James Mangold (Logan, 3:10 to Yuma, Walk the Line) directed from a screenplay by Jez Butterworth, John-Henry Butterworth, and Jason Keller. Mangold, Peter Chernin, and Jenno Topping produced. Mangold’s behind the scenes team includes director of photography Phedon Papamichael, editor Michael McCusker, production designer François Audouy, and costume designer Daniel Orlandi.

Walt Disney Studios is targeting a November 15, 2019 theatrical release.

The Plot:

“Academy Award-winners Matt Damon and Christian Bale star in Ford v Ferrari, based on the remarkable true story of the visionary American car designer Carroll Shelby (Damon) and the fearless British-born driver Ken Miles (Bale), who together battled corporate interference, the laws of physics, and their own personal demons to build a revolutionary race car for Ford Motor Company and take on the dominating race cars of Enzo Ferrari at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in France in 1966.”
