Filming is now underway on Wonder Woman starring Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/the costumed superhero. The Warner Bros Pictures production is based on the iconic DC comics and has Patty Jenkins (Monster) as director and Charles Roven, Zack Snyder and Deborah Snyder producing. Richard Suckle, Stephen Jones, Wesley Coller, Geoff Johns, and Rebecca Roven are the executive producers.
Gadot will make her feature film debut as Wonder Woman in the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. She’ll be a supporting character in that film before appearing onscreen in the currently in-production action drama. Shooting will be taking place in Italy, France, and the UK.
The cast also includes Chris Pine as Captain Steve Trevor, Robin Wright, Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Ewen Bremner, Saïd Taghmaoui, Elena Anaya, and Lucy Davis.
Gadot actually shared the official photo on Twitter along with the message: “Almost 75 years in the making… #WonderWoman is underway.”
