So the Goodrich trailer seems to give away a lot of the film. There could still be twists and turns to come, but if you prefer to go in without much knowledge, do not watch the trailer.
Oscar nominee Michael Keaton stars as a dad who’s forced to take over the care of his young kids. Mila Kunis plays his pregnant adult daughter, with Carmen Ejogo, Michael Urie, Kevin Pollak, and Viven Lyra Blair also starring. The ensemble includes Nico Haraga, Danny Deferrari, Lauren Benanti, and Andie MacDowell.
“Andy Goodrich’s (Keaton) life is upended when his wife and mother of their nine-year-old twins enters a 90-day rehab program, leaving him on his own with their young kids,” reads Ketchup Entertainment’s synopsis. “Thrust into the world of modern parenthood, Goodrich leans on his daughter from his first marriage, Grace (Kunis), as he ultimately evolves into the father Grace never had.”
Goodrich is set to open in theaters on October 18, 2024.
Hallie Meyers-Shyer (2017’s Home Again) wrote and directed the dramedy, with Daniela Taplin Lundberg, Kevin Mann, and Dave Caplan producing. Executive producers include Michael Keaton, Mila Kunis, and Amy Pascal.
