Kristen Bell and Adam Brody will return for a fourth season of Nobody Wants This. Netflix officially renewed the critically acclaimed series following a third season that pulled in 13+ million views over its first two weeks in release.
“We are so happy and thrilled to do another season of our favorite show on television, which coincidentally is the one we run,” stated co-showrunners and executive producers Erin Foster (series creator), Jenni Konner, and Bruce Eric Kaplan.
Season three stars Bell, Brody, Justine Lupe, Timothy Simons, Jackie Tohn, Stephanie Faracy, Michael Hitchcock, and Paul Ben-Victor. Tovah Feldshuh, Andrew Rannells, Sarah Silverman, Shiloh Bearman, and Sherry Cola also star in the Emmy-nominated series’ third season.
“Great love stories never go out of style, and Nobody Wants This has become a true cultural phenomenon,” commented Netflix’s Vice President of Comedy Series, US Tracey Pakosta. “This incredible creative team has built a show that grows with its audience, and our members around the world have embraced it season after season. We cannot be more excited for season four.”
Nobody Wants This premiered in September 2024, followed by season two in October 2025. The third season debuted in October 2026. Production on season four will take place in Los Angeles.
Netflix hasn’t released a description of the upcoming season. Season three’s synopsis reads, “That ‘first time’ feeling, all over again. After recommitting to each other at the end of last season, Joanne (Bell) and Noah (Brody) are moving into a home — and a relationship — that finally feels solid, embracing every exciting ‘first’ that comes with building their life together.
Sasha (Simons) and Esther (Tohn) are thrust back into the dating world, whether they like it or not, stumbling through all the awkwardness (and unexpected thrill) of getting to know someone new, right as Morgan (Lupe) takes her career to the next level, on her way to becoming an (almost) media sensation. Meanwhile, Sasha and Morgan have been circling something neither of them has been able to admit to.”
