‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’ Trailer: Prepare for One Last Ride

Talk about an effective trailer. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3‘s first lengthy trailer features so many incredibly fun scenes and heartwrenching snippets that it’s difficult to single out any particular standout moment. From Groot declaring “We are Groot” to Rocket saying “We’ll all fly away together” to the return of Gamora (Zoe Saldana), there’s a little something for every fan in the trailer that debuted at the Comic-Con Experience 2022 in São Paulo, Brazil.

My personal fav is the following exchange between Peter and Drax:

DRAX – “And we’ll kill anyone who gets in our way!”
PETER – “No, not kill anyone.”
DRAX – “Kill a few people.”
PETER – “Kill no people.”
DRAX – “Kill one guy. One stupid guy, who no one loves.
PETER – “Now you’re just making it sad.”

Chris Pratt returns to lead the cast as Peter Quill/Star Lord. Dave Bautista is Drax, Karen Gillan is Nebula, Pom Klementieff plays Mantis, Vin Diesel voices Groot, and Bradley Cooper is back as Rocket. Sean Gunn, Chukwudi Iwuji, Will Poulter, and Maria Bakalova also star.

James Gunn, newly promoted to co-CEO of DC Studios, wrote the screenplay and directs. Kevin Feige serves as producer, with Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Nikolas Korda, Simon Hatt, and Sara Smith executive producing.

Marvel Studios released the following synopsis of the third Guardians of the Galaxy film:

“In Marvel Studios Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 our beloved band of misfits are looking a bit different these days. Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him to defend the universe along with protecting one of their own. A mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.”

Marvel Studios is releasing Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 in theaters on May 5, 2023.
