‘Hunter Killer’ Final Trailer and Poster Starring Gerard Butler and Gary Oldman

Gerard Butler stars in Summit's 'Hunter Killer'

There’s lots of action as well as more details on the plot in the final trailer for the action thriller, Hunter Killer. The film’s based on Firing Point by retired naval officer George Wallace and writer Don Keith and, according to Summit Premiere and Lionsgate, was produced with the full support of the United States Navy.

HUNTER KILLER ( hən(t)ərˈkilər ) : a naval vessel, especially a submarine, equipped to locate and destroy enemy vessels, especially other submarines.

Gerard Butler (Olympus Has Fallen, Den of Thieves) and Oscar winner Gary Oldman (Best Actor for Darkest Hour) lead a cast that includes Common (John Wick: Chapter 2, Hell on Wheels), Linda Cardellini (Avengers: Age of Ultron, A Simple Favor) and Toby Stephens (Lost in Space, Black Sails).

Donovan Marsh (The Good Fight) directed from a screenplay by Arne L. Schmidt and Jamie Moss. Gerard Butler, Neal H. Moritz, Toby Jaffe, Alan Siegel, Tucker Tooley, Mark Gill, John Thompson, Matt O’Toole, and Les Weldon served as producers.

The behind the scenes team includes editor Michael J. Duthie, director of photography Tom Marais, production designers Jon Henson and James H. Spencer, and costume designer Caroline Harris, with music by Trevor Morris.

Summit Premiere will launch Hunter Killer in theaters nationwide on October 26th, 2018. The film’s earned an R rating for violence and some language.

The Hunter Killer Plot:

“Deep under the Arctic Ocean, American submarine Captain Joe Glass (Butler) is on the hunt for a U.S. sub in distress when he discovers a secret Russian coup is in the offing, threatening to dismantle the world order. Captain Glass must now assemble an elite group of Navy SEALs to rescue the kidnapped Russian president and sneak through enemy waters to stop WWIII.”
