Jane Levy’s best known for her starring role in the hit sitcom Suburgatory, however she’s breaking into the horror genre with the lead role in Evil Dead. The 2013 version of Sam Raimi’s cult horror classic finds Levy playing a drug addict who wants to come clean and commits to accepting help from her friends in going cold turkey. Unfortunately, the Book of the Dead just happens to be in the basement of the cabin where Levy’s character will be detoxing.
The Plot:
Five twenty-something friends become holed up in a remote cabin. When they discover a Book of the Dead, they unwittingly summon up dormant demons living in the nearby woods, which possess the youngsters in succession until only one is left intact to fight for survival.
