Katherine Heigl and Jon Bon Jovi in 'New Year's Eve.'

Jon Bon Jovi returns to acting with a role in director Garry Marshall’s New Year’s Eve, the romantic comedy debuting on December 9, 2011. And in this interview video supplied by Warner Bros Pictures, he talks about his character in the film (he plays a singer which isn’t a stretch), working with director Garry Marshall, and his ideal New Year’s Eve celebration.

Official Synopsis: New Year’s Eve celebrates love, hope, forgiveness, second chances and fresh starts, in the intertwining stories told amidst the pulse and promise of New York City on the most dazzling night of the year.

Rated PG-13, New Year’s Eve will open in theaters on December 9, 2011.
