The teaser trailer for Apple Studios’ Killers of the Flower Moon makes a strong case for the drama being a legitimate awards season contender. The two-minute teaser introduces the couple at the heart of the story: Ernest Burkhart, played by Oscar winner Leonardo DiCaprio (The Revenant), and Mollie Kyle, played by Spirit Awards nominee Lily Gladstone (Certain Women).
The cast also includes two-time Oscar winner Robert De Niro (Raging Bull, The Godfather Part II), Oscar nominee Jesse Plemons (The Power of the Dog), Tantoo Cardinal, Cara Jade Myers, JaNae Collins, Jillian Dion, William Belleau, and Louis Cancelmi. Tatanka Means, Michael Abbot Jr., Pat Healy, Scott Shepard, Jason Isbell, and Sturgill Simpson also star.
Oscar-winning director Martin Scorsese (The Departed) reunites with Robert De Niro and Leonardo DiCaprio for the adaptation of David Grann’s bestselling book. Scorsese and Eric Roth wrote the screenplay, with Scorsese, Dan Friedkin, Bradley Thomas and Daniel Lupi producing. Leonardo DiCaprio, Rick Yorn, Adam Sommer, Marianne Bower, Lisa Frechette, John Atwood, Shea Kammer, and Niels Juul executive produce.
Killers of the Flower Moon opens in select theaters on October 6, 2023, followed by a wide release on October 20th.
