‘Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1’ Teaser Trailer Starring Tom Cruise

Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt is warned his days of fighting for the greater good are over and he needs to pick a side in the teaser trailer for Paramount Pictures’ Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part 1. Given Ethan’s history, that warning isn’t going to go over well.

The action-packed two-minute teaser trailer arrives with the film still more than a year out from its theatrical release. Paramount is targeting a July 14, 2023 premiere, provided there aren’t any more pandemic-caused delays. Part two is expected to be released in 2024.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning is the seventh film of the franchise. Tom Cruise’s first outing as Ethan Hunt premiered in 1996 with Brian De Palma directing. Mission: Impossible II followed in 2000 with John Woo at the helm and Mission: Impossible III, directed by J.J. Abrams, opened in 2006. Pixar’s Brad Bird (Ratatouille) made his live-action feature film directorial debut with 2011’s Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol. Christopher McQuarrie began his run as Mission: Impossible director with 2015’s Rogue Nation followed by 2018’s Fallout and both upcoming Dead Reckoning films.

In addition to Tom Cruise, the Dead Reckoning cast includes returning MI stars Ving Rhames as Luther Stickell, Simon Pegg as Benji Dunn, Rebecca Ferguson as Ilsa Faust, and Vanessa Kirby as The White Widow. The cast also includes Hayley Atwell, Shea Whigham, Pom Klementieff, Esai Morales, Henry Czerny, Rob Delaney, Cary Elwes, Indira Varma, Mark Gatiss, Charles Parnell, Greg Tarzan Davis, and Frederick Schmidt.

Tom Cruise and writer/director Christopher McQuarrie produce, with David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, and Tommy Gormley executive producing.
