So what if it’s a little early to be thinking about Christmas, Hanukkah, or any other winter holiday you choose to celebrate? Sony Pictures apparently wants to put us all in the holiday mood with a restricted trailer for the bro-centric comedy The Night Before. Directed by Jonathan Levine (Warm Bodies, 50/50) from a screenplay he wrote with Evan Goldberg, Kyle Hunter, and Ariel Shaffir, The Night Before finds 50/50 co-stars Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogen teaming up with Anthony Mackie to play three BFFs who are allowed out for one final wild Christmas night of partying before they have to move on with their adult lives and family responsibilities.
The cast also includes Lizzy Caplan, Jillian Bell, Michael Shannon, and Mindy Kaling.
The Night Before opens in theaters on November 25, 2015.
The Plot:
Ethan (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), Isaac (Seth Rogen) and Chris (Anthony Mackie) have been friends since childhood, and for a decade, their yearly Christmas Eve reunion has been an annual night of debauchery and hilarity. Now that they’re entering adulthood, the tradition is coming to an end, and to make it as memorable as possible, they set out to find the Nutcracka Ball – the Holy Grail of Christmas parties.
