Hot on the heels of the release of the official trailer for the Point Break remake comes a new featurette showing off more of the film’s extreme sports stunts. While the original movie’s sports involvement was limited to surfing, this reimagined version spreads the wealth around. Snowboarding, skydiving, motocross, and jumping off cliffs wearing wingsuits – as well as surfing – are all featured in this new take on a film that no one ever asked be remade.

In the 2015 version, Luke Bracey takes over the role Keanu Reeves handled in the original while Edgar Ramirez plays an extreme sports athlete standing in for the surfer played by Patrick Swayze. The cast also includes Teresa Palmer, Delroy Lindo, and Ray Winstone as well as athletes Laird Hamilton, Sebastian Zietz, Makua Rothman, Billy Kemper, Brian Keaulana, Ahanu Tson-dru, Ian Walsh, Laurie Towner, Dylan Longbottom, Albee Layer, Bruce Irons, Tikanui Smith, Tuhiti Humani, Xavier De Le Rue, Louis Vito, Christian Haller, Lucas DeBari, Ralph Backstrom, Bob Burnquist, Eric Koston, Riley Harper, Oakley Lehman, Jon Devore, Julian Boulle, Noah Bahnson, Jhonathan Florez and Mike Swanson.

The Plot:

“Young FBI agent, Johnny Utah (Bracey), infiltrates a cunning team of thrill-seeking elite athletes – led by the charismatic Bodhi (Ramirez). The athletes are suspected of carrying out a spate of crimes in extremely unusual ways. Deep undercover, and with his life in imminent danger, Utah strives to prove they are the architects of this string of inconceivable crimes.

The film is replete with the most daring athleticism ever seen in a motion picture. These action adventure feats are performed by elite athletes representing the world’s best in class in big-wave surfing, wingsuit flying, sheer-face snowboarding, free rock climbing, and high-speed motorcycling.”
