20th Century Studios’ official trailer for Predator: Badlands reveals much more about the relationship between an android from Weyland-Yutani (from the Alien franchise) and an outcast Predator. Thia, played by Elle Fanning (The Great, A Complete Unknown), offers to help the Predator, but it doesn’t seem impressed with her size.
“So this is your first hunt, and you’ve come to the most dangerous planet in the universe. You’re after a creature that can’t be killed—the definitive apex predator,” says Thia. After being picked up and rudely dropped, Thia winds up wishing the solitary predator with his solo mission.
Prey‘s director Dan Trachtenberg returns for the latest addition to the franchise. Trachtenberg also serves as a producer along with John Davis, Marc Toberoff, Ben Rosenblatt, and Brent O’Connor.
“Predator: Badlands, which stars Elle Fanning and Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi, is set in the future on a remote planet, where a young Predator, outcast from his clan, finds an unlikely ally in Thia (Fanning) and embarks on a treacherous journey in search of the ultimate adversary,” reads the studio’s synopsis.
Predator: Badlands opens in theaters, IMAX, Dolby Cinema, RealD 3D, Cinemark XD, 4DX, and ScreenX on November 7, 2025.
