J.J. Abrams (Lost) pays homage to Steven Spielberg with Super 8, a sci-fi adventure film set in the 1970s. It’s reminiscent of Spielberg’s Close Encounters of the Third Kind, E.T., and The Goonies, and it’s received overwhelmingly positive reviews from critics.
