‘Talk to Me’ Trailer: A Severed Hand Leads to Full Body Possessions

A24’s full trailer for Talk to Me confirms that if you’re ever offered a chance to touch a severed hand, don’t do it. Just say no to the hand, or else there’s a possibility you’ll lose control of your soul.

The R-rated horror film marks the directorial debut of popular YouTubers Danny and Michael Philippou and stars Sophie Wilde, Miranda Otto, and Alexandra Jensen. Joe Bird, Otis Dhanji, Zoe Terakes, and Chris Alosi also star.

Danny Philippou and Bill Hinzman wrote the screenplay, and Samantha Jennings and Kristina Ceyton serve as producers.

The Philippou’s first feature film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and won over critics. It currently sits at 97% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, with Screen Rant’s Mae Abdulbaki describing it as not “simply concerned with jump scares, and its horror settles deep into the bones, a disquiet that ultimately rattles the nerves.”

Talk to Me opens in theaters on July 28, 2023.
