The End of Oak Street Trailer: Anne Hathaway, Ewan McGregor Battle Dinosaurs

It Follows director David Robert Mitchell imagines a different sort of nightmare for a street named after a tree. Elm Street’s got Freddy Krueger; Mitchell’s The End of Oak Street has got dinosaurs.

The sci-fi thriller stars Oscar winner Anne Hathaway (The Devil Wears Prada 2), Emmy winner Ewan McGregor (Halston), Maisy Stella (Nashville), and Christian Convery (Sweet Tooth).

“After a mysterious cosmic event rips Oak Street from suburbia and transports their neighborhood to someplace unknown, the Platt family soon discovers that their very survival depends on them sticking together as they navigate their now unrecognizable surroundings,” reads Warner Bros. Pictures’ synopsis.

David Robert Mitchell wrote, directed, and produces the thriller. J.J. Abrams, Hannah Minghella, Jon Cohen, Matt Jackson, and Tommy Harper also serve as producers. Chris Bender, Jake Weiner, Joanne Lee, and Leeann Stonebreaker executive produce.

The behind-the-scenes team includes director of photography Michael Gioulakis, production designer Maya Shimoguchi, editor John Axelrad, composer Michael Giacchino, and costume designer Erin Benach.

The End of Oak Street opens in theaters and IMAX on August 14, 2026.
