First Look: ‘The Imitation Game’ Trailer

Hot on the heels of the news that The Imitation Game will be the opening night film at the 58th BFI London Film Festival comes the debut of a new trailer. The Weinstein Company’s set a November 21, 2014 release date (the heart of awards-release season) for the drama which was directed by Morten Tyldum and stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Keira Knightley, Matthew Goode, Charles Dance, Mark Strong, Rory Kinnear, Allen Leech, and Matthew Beard.

The Plot:

In The Imitation Game, Benedict Cumberbatch stars as Alan Turing, the genius British mathematician, logician, cryptologist and computer scientist who led the charge to crack the German Enigma Code that helped the Allies win WWII. Turing went on to assist with the development of computers at the University of Manchester after the war, but was prosecuted by the UK government in 1952 for homosexual acts which the country deemed illegal.
