The absolute best clip in the new The Social Reckoning trailer is when Jeremy Strong, as Mark Zuckerberg, is instructed on how to act like a human. Aaron Sorkin’s incredibly timely followup to The Social Network will launch in theaters on October 9, 2026.
The dramatic thriller stars Oscar winner Mikey Madison (Anora) as whistleblower Frances Haugen and two-time Emmy winner Jeremy Allen White (The Bear) as journalist Jeff Horwitz. The cast also includes Wunmi Mosaku (Sinners), Betty Gilpin (Widow’s Bay), Billy Magnussen (The Audacity), and Bill Burr (Unfrosted).
“Inspired by true events and the whistleblower who started the social media reckoning we’re seeing play out today, this Aaron Sorkin original screenplay is a companion piece to the hit film The Social Network and a true David and Goliath story,” reads the official synopsis. “Frances Haugen (Madison), a young Facebook engineer, enlists the help of Jeff Horwitz (White), a Wall Street Journal reporter, to go on a dangerous journey that ends up blowing the whistle on the social network’s most guarded secrets.”
