Brad Pitt has stepped back into the role that earned him a Best Supporting Actor Oscar in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in… Hollywood. Pitt reprised his stuntman character in The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth, a spinoff with David Fincher directing.
The film marks the fourth time Pitt and Fincher have collaborated. They previously worked together on 1995’s Se7en, 1999’s Fight Club, and 2008’s The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. And Pitt earned a Best Actor Oscar nomination for his work in Benjamin Button.
Tarantino wrote the screenplay, which moves the year the action takes place from the end of the 1960s to the dramatically different Hollywood of 1977. Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, and Peter Weller also star, along with Matt Groove, JB Tadena, Corey Fogelmanis, and Karren Karagulian.
Netflix will release the film in IMAX theaters on November 25, 2026. A streaming premiere is set for December 23, 2026.
Brad Pitt and Ceán Chaffin serve as producers. Fincher’s behind-the-scenes team includes director of photography Erik Messerschmidt, production designer Donald Graham Burt, editor Kirk Baxter, costume designer Trish Summerville, casting director Laray Mayfield, sound designer Ren Klyce, and stunt coordinator Dave Macomber.
