‘Venom’ Unveils a Teaser Poster and Teases Something Much Bigger

Poster for Sony Pictures’ ‘Venom’ starring Tom Hardy.

Could we be about to see some footage from Venom? Today, Sony Pictures released a new poster from the comic book inspired film featuring very little other than eyes, Tom Hardy’s name, and the film’s title. However, the film’s official Twitter accounts posted something much more interesting. The studio’s various Venom accounts tweeted: “Tomorrow. #Venom”

Venom was directed by Ruben Fleischer (Gangster Squad, Zombieland) from a script by Scott Rosenberg, Jeff Pinkner, Kelly Marcel, and Will Beall. Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, and Amy Pascal produced the much-anticipated film, with David Householter and Stan Lee executive producing.

In addition to Tom Hardy (Dunkirk, Warrior, The Dark Knight Rises) as Venom/Eddie Brock, the cast includes Michelle Williams (All the Money in the World, Manchester by the Sea) as Anne Weying, Riz Ahmed (Rogue One, The Night Of) as Dr. Carlton Drake, Scott Haze (Only the Brave, Thank You for Your Service), and Reid Scott (Veep, Home Again).

Sony Pictures is targeting an October 5, 2018 theatrical release.

The Plot: One of Marvel’s most enigmatic, complex and badass characters comes to the big screen, starring Academy Award® nominated actor Tom Hardy as the lethal protector Venom.
