What You Missed:
After Comic-Con closed the doors to the exhibit hall Thursday night, July 19th, it was time to party. MTV2 Party in the Park was held at Petco Park, home of the San Diego Padres and one of the main party places during the annual geekfest. There was food, DJs, and even a Silent DJ party where everyone wore headphones, waved glow sticks, and danced to whatever was playing. The party also featured performances by Dillon Francis and musicians New Politics.
In addition, the MTV 2 Party hosted the taping of MTV and MTV2’s Guys Code Honors.
It was truly the best party of the entire weekend. New Politics rocked the stage with music from their two albums: their self-titled album, which came out in 2010, and their latest release A Bad Girl In Harlem featuring their hit single “Harlem.” After their performance, there was a fireworks show and then Dillon Francis came onto the stage and busted out his DJing skills.
