Nickelodeon is bringing back the comedy/musical series Big Time Rush for season four. The network’s given the go-ahead to a 13-episode fourth season, and filming is expected to begin in early 2013 on the series created by Scott Fellows.

The show currently resides in the top 10 live-action shows for kids 2-11, kids 6-11 and tweens 9-14.

“Our viewers continue to love the stories, music and comedic misadventures of Kendall, James, Carlos, and Logan. Their authentic friendship and brotherhood connects them to each other and their audience, both on camera and when performing in front of thousands of screaming fans,” said Marjorie Cohn, President, Original Programming and Development, Nickelodeon Group.

Big Time Rush’s albums have been big sellers, both entering the Billboard charts in the top 15 (selling over 1.25 million albums worldwide). And the band, who’ve been on tour this summer, had their biggest hit yet with “Windows Down.”
