Flo Rida Nabs the Top Spot on the Hot 100 Chart

Flo Rida’s “Whistle” knocked Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe” out of first place on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, selling 4 million-ish singles worldwide to date. “Whistle” is Flo Rida’s third #1 song (following 2007’s “Low” and 2009’s “Right Round”), and the single’s also #1 on SoundScan’s Digital Songs chart.
 
“Whistle” has been certified platinum and the official music video has over 70 million views.

Flo Rida’s set to perform the single on VH1’s “Do Something Awards” honoring “the nation’s best young world-changers” on August 21, 2012. He’s also busy working on the “I Cry” music video, and his fourth album, Wild Ones, with “I Cry” and “Whistle” is available now.
