In support of the upcoming release of Dark Matter, Pearl Jam just announced a special “Pearl Jam – Dark Matter – Global Theatrical Experience.” The one-night-only event will take place in 800 movie theaters worldwide on April 16, 2024, with the album dropping on April 19th.
Dark Matter, produced by Grammy winner Andrew Watt, is the band’s first album since 2020’s Gigaton. Pearl Jam – bassist Jeff Ament, rhythm guitarist Stone Gossard, lead guitarist Mike McCready, lead singer/guitarist Eddie Vedder and drummer Matt Cameron – recorded the album at Shangri-La Studios in Malibu.

Pearl Jam was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as part of the class of 2017. The alt-rock band has sold more than 85 million albums and continues to use its popularity to raise funds and awareness through its Vitalogy Foundation. More than $50 million has been raised to support organizations, including those involved in assisting with abortion access, climate change issues, and homelessness.
