After much debate, a tiny amount of yelling, and a run-off ballot, Spike Jonze’s Her was selected as the Best Film of 2013 by the San Diego Film Critics Society (of which I’m a member). The group also chose Her‘s screenplay as the Best Original Screenplay of the year and gave it the award for Best Score, making the romantic drama the only movie to earn multiple awards from the group this year (not including the award for Body of Work).
