Nominations have been announced for the 38th Annual Razzie Awards celebrating the worst in feature films from 2017. There weren’t any big surprises among the Razzies (dis)honorees, with Transformers: The Last Knight, The Mummy, and the second Fifty Shades film – Fifty Shades Darker – earning multiple nominations.
Actors who found themselves (justifiably) earning recognition from the Razzies included Johnny Depp, Jennifer Lawrence, Dakota Johnson, and Mark Wahlberg. Wahlberg and Depp had the distinction of earning Worst Actor nominations for two of their performances in 2017 movies.
The Razzies normally reveal their nominees one day prior to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Science’s announcement of the year’s Oscar nominees. Razzies winners will be announced on Saturday, March 3rd, the night before the 2018 Academy Awards will be held in Hollywood, CA.
