CBS’s summer reality competition series, Big Brother, has been renewed for its 22nd season. The network announced the renewal today and confirmed Julie Chen Moonves will continue with her hosting duties for season 22.
Season 21 premiered on June 25, 2019 and currently airs on Sundays and Wednesdays at 8pm ET/PT. Live evictions air on Thursdays at 9pm ET/PT. The season will finish up on September 25th, and season 22 will premiere during the summer of 2020.
According to CBS, Big Brother continues to be one of the highest-rated summer series in young demographics. CBS also reports season 21 has grown by double-digits over season 20 “in full episode streams across CBS digital platforms.”
The reality competition series is produced by Emmy Award-winner Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan for Fly on the Wall Entertainment in association with Endemol Shine North America. Big Brother was created by John de Mol and debuted on July 5, 2000.
