Cars 3 snagged an ‘A’ score from ticket buyers, according to CinemaScore, but good reviews from audiences and critics weren’t enough to help the third film of the franchise match either Cars‘ $60 million or Cars 2‘s $66 million opening weekends. Its $53 million domestic opening was enough to push Wonder Woman into second, although Warner Bros Pictures has no reason to be disappointed in that superhero film’s performance. Wonder Woman only dropped 30% over its third weekend in release and has now rung up an impressive $275 million domestically.

Up next, Transformers: The Last Night will be hitting theaters on Wednesday and the critically acclaimed drama, The Beguiled, arrives on Friday, June 23, 2017.
