‘Breaking Dawn Part 1’ DVD and Blu-ray Details

Summit’s decided to release the DVD and Blu-ray editions of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 a month earlier than they’ve released the previous films on DVD – all because they want fans to be able to bring home Bella and Edward for Valentine’s Day. The Two-Disc Special Edition DVD and a Special Edition Blu-ray will hit stores on Saturday, February 11, 2012, with retailers hosting special Friday night midnight release parties.

“We thought the fans would love to spend Valentine’s Day watching Bella & Edward’s wedding and honeymoon. It’s really the most romantic of all the Saga films,” stated T.J. Moffett, Summit’s EVP of Home Entertainment Marketing.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1 Two-Disc Special Edition DVD has a suggested retail price of $30.49, while the Single Disc Blu-ray is set at $33.99. Both editions are packed with bonus features that are sure to please even the most hardcore fans, including two different fast-forward features to your favorite Edward and Jacob scenes, Bella and Edward’s Wedding Video, audio commentary with director Bill Condon, and a mesmerizing 6-part ‘Making Of’ documentary that takes you behind the scenes of the most talked about film of 2011.”
