Catherine Hardwicke to Direct ‘Eyewitness’ Episodes

Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight) has committed to directing episodes one and two of Eyewitness, the new dramatic series coming to USA Network. The series is based on the Norwegian thriller (Øyevitne) and has Scott Peters, Shades of Blue creator Adi Hasak, and Jarl Emsell Larsen on board as executive producers. Hasak is also adapting the Norwegian series and Peters is set to direct multiple episodes.


USA Network says season one of Eyewitness will consist of 10 episodes. Filming will take place in Canada and USA Network’s eyeing a 2016 premiere.

In addition to helming the first film of the Twilight franchise, Hardwicke’s directing credits include Miss You Already, Red Riding Hood, Thirteen, Lords of Dogtown, Plush, and The Nativity Story.

The Eyewitness Plot:Eyewitness delves into the lives of two innocent teenaged boys after they secretly meet up in the forest, bear witness to a shooting and barely escape with their lives. Desperate to keep their relationship a secret and in fear of being found by the perpetrator, they remain silent but soon learn that what has been seen cannot be unseen and when you witness a horrible event it changes everything, forever.
