Freeform (formerly ABC Family) announced additional cast members set to star in Dead of Summer, the new original series from Once Upon a Time‘s creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz. Teen Wolf‘s Zelda Williams, The 100‘s Eli Goree, and Charlie’s Angels‘ Alberto Frezza have signed on to starring roles, joining Mark Indelicato (Ugly Betty), Ronen Rubinstein (Orange Is the New Black) and Paulina Singer (Gotham) in the supernatural coming-of-age drama. Filming’s expected to get underway in March 2016.

Creators/executive producers Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis will directe episode one of Dead of Summer. The creative team are also on board as writers along with Once Upon a Time‘s Ian Goldberg.

The Dead of Summer Plot:

Set in the late 1980s, school is out for the summer and a sun-drenched season of firsts beckons the counselors at Camp Clearwater, a seemingly idyllic Midwestern summer camp, including first loves, first kisses – and first kills. Clearwater’s dark, ancient mythology awakens, and what was supposed to be a summer of fun soon turns into one of unforgettable scares and evil at every turn.

Williams will be portraying a counselor at Camp Clearwater who is a mysterious loner with no interest in bonding with the rest of the group.

Frezza will be playing the role of “Deputy Garrett Sykes,” a young deputy who has ties to Camp Clearwater and who grows immediately suspicious when events at the camp don’t add up.

Goree will be portraying “Joel,” an aspiring filmmaker who is returning to Camp Clearwater as a counselor and begins to buy into the idea that something weird is happening.
