Charlie Cox has finished up his supporting role in Boardwalk Empire and is moving on to CBS’s new primetime drama series, The Ordained. The series will be executive produced by Frank Marshall, Larry Shuman, and A.B. Fischer, and written by Lisa Takeuchi Cullen (who also serves as an executive producer).

RJ Cutler (Flip That House, Nashville) is attached to direct.

Charlie Cox will be playing Tom Reilly, the son of what’s described as a Kennedy-like family who leaves the priesthood and becomes a lawyer.

Cox’s other credits include Casanova, Stardust, and There Be Dragons.
