Connie Britton Joins the Cast of Fox’s ‘9-1-1’

Nashville star Connie Britton has signed on to the cast of Fox’s new dramatic series, 9-1-1. Britton joins the cast which includes Emmy Award and Golden Globe nominee Peter Krause (Six Feet Under) and Oscar and Emmy Award nominee Angela Bassett (American Horror Story, What’s Love Got to Do with It). 9-1-1 was created by the team of Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk (American Horror Story, Scream Queens, Glee), with Murphy, Falchuk, Tim Minear, and Bradley Buecker executive producing. Minear is the series’ showrunner and Buecker will direct the series premiere.


9-1-1 is expected to join Fox’s primetime lineup in 2018.

In addition to Nashville, Connie Britton’s credits include American Horror Story, Friday Night Lights, Spin City, 24, The West Wing, Me & Earl & the Dying Girl, This Is Where I Leave You, and Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World. Next up is Professor Marston & The Wonder Woman and SMILF, and she recently wrapped up work on Land of Steady Habits for writer/director Nicole Holofcener.

The Plot: 9-1-1 explores the high-pressure experiences of police, paramedics and firefighters who are thrust into the most frightening, shocking and heart-stopping situations. These emergency responders must try to balance saving those who are at their most vulnerable with solving the problems in their own lives.
