Amazon has debuted the first footage from the upcoming dramatic action series, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan. The hour-long eight episode season one stars John Krasinski (The Office) as Jack Ryan, Wendell Pierce (Ray Donovan), and Abbie Cornish (Limitless). The spy thriller based on Tom Clancy’s bestselling book series will premiere in 2018.
Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan has Carlton Cuse (Bates Motel, The Strain) as showrunner and executive producer. Cuse and executive producer Graham Roland (Almost Human) wrote the pilot episode. The series is also executive produced by John Krasinski, Brad Fuller, Andrew Form, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Marcy Ross, and Mace Neufeld.
The Plot: The dramatic series is about an up-and-coming CIA analyst thrust into a dangerous field assignment for the first time. The series follows Ryan as he uncovers a pattern in terrorist communication that launches him into the center of a dangerous gambit with a new breed of terrorism that threatens destruction on a global scale.
