Showtime’s snagged Damian Lewis (Homeland) and Paul Giamatti (12 Years a Slave) for starring roles in the drama series pilot, Billions. Neil Burger (Divergent) is attached to direct and Showtime’s aiming for an early 2015 start of production.

Billions is written and executive produced by Andrew Ross Sorkin, David Levien, and Brian Koppelman. Showtime gave Billions a pilot order back in March but they haven’t yet announced an anticipated air date.

The Plot:

Billions is a fictional drama that takes a forensic look at the world of high finance by tracking the approaching collision between two titanic figures – the hard-charging, whip-smart U.S. Attorney Chuck Rhodes (Giamatti), and the brilliant, ambitious hedge fund king, Bobby “Axe” Axelrod (Lewis).
