ReelzChannel is getting into the non-scripted competition series game with Race to the Scene, coming to the network in the spring of 2013. Dolph Lundgren, soon to be seen in The Expendables 2, is set to host the show which will find competitors involved in challenges and stunts based on iconic movie scenes.

Justin Hochberg created the series and will executive produce the show.

Announcing the series, ReelzChannel CEO Stan E. Hubbard stated: “Non-scripted competition comes to REELZ with the perfect TV About Movies twist. Race to the Scene taps directly into our shared experiences of the most talked-about scenes in movies with the added excitement of movie fans being challenged to recreate the action.”

“As a kid I looked forward to blockbuster movies more than Christmas morning. When Stan and REELZ asked us to launch their first competition series about iconic movies it was my childhood dream come true,” explained Justin Hochberg. “Dolph Lundgren is a high-octane hero who will bring his own brand of awesome to REELZ viewers.”

Charlie Ebersol, co-founder, The Hochberg Ebersol Company, added. “Mark my words, Dolph Lundgren will change non-scripted television forever… or at least until he does it again. He is the perfect iconic action star to lead this fast-paced, adrenalin-filled adventure that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats week after week.”
